A serious
road accident at Dhaka–kushtia Highway

A serious
road accident took
place
at Dhaka-kushtia Highway last evening at 7.30.p.m. A Dhaka-bound bus collided
head-on with a kushtia-bound truck near Kumarkhali bus-stand. Four people died and twenty others were seriously injured.
The dead people were identified and they were Faruk Hossain(34),Abbas
Ali(41),Asad Islam(25) and Rahima Khatun(30).The injured people were taken to the
local hospital.
The spot became very pathetic because their relatives cried loudly. On
information, the police rushed to the spot. It is known from local eye witness that the truck driver
was drunkard and was driving recklessly and at last, lost control. The police
arrested the bus driver but the truck driver fled from the spot. At last, a
case was filed against the owners of the vehicles and the dead bodies were sent
for autopsy.
